THE PLATFORM

Replace operational blind spots with one clear system.

Connect job records, people, schedules, materials, communication and safety documentation so the team can act without chasing the story first.

Stop rebuilding the story of every job

Replace scattered notes, photos and conversations with a searchable job record that keeps the operational context close at hand.

  • Job descriptions, quantities and site contact details
  • Site photos, files, comments and reactions
  • Booking and overdue indicators with access to the job card

Find scheduling gaps before they become delays

Review upcoming work by person and planned date, then make each job's stages and timing visible before the day starts.

  • A booking queue for jobs needing start and finish dates
  • Rolling schedules with crew, equipment and deadline views
  • Work-stage timelines with target dates and completion markers

Job programmes and bookings are separate: changing a stage date does not book crews, suppliers or calendar events.

Know who is assigned and where the hours went

See gaps in upcoming crew plans and review weekly time records in the context of the job that created them.

  • Worker assignments and gaps in upcoming crew plans
  • Job-linked time entries with start, finish and break details
  • Separate recorded, pending and approved totals
  • Active and departed worker records with historical job and time context

Time review is distinct from payroll processing. Clocked-in status is not proof of a worker's location.

Reduce material surprises before the crew arrives

Prepare yard work around confirmed requirements and review saved prices with their source details before shortages reach the site.

  • Material pick-and-pack lists and pickup or drop-off queues
  • Readiness checks for scope, dimensions, fittings, wastage and delivery dates
  • Saved material prices with supplier, unit, date and source
  • Tools for supplier webpage imports, invoice and price-file uploads, and manual price entry
  • Search tools for recorded prices, with exact and close matching options

Review imported prices and their source dates. Material quantities depend on confirmed job specifications. The separate purchasing workflow is not yet complete.

Keep safety preparation attached to the actual job

Prepare job-linked SWMS drafts and keep safety files and worker acknowledgements where the responsible team can review them.

  • Activity and hazard prompts for draft preparation
  • SWMS files and options to share them with job contacts
  • Worker acknowledgement, induction and White Card indicators

Site teams must review each draft and workers must provide their own acknowledgements. These records do not establish compliance on their own.

Give clients answers without another status call

Share selected job information in a focused client view and keep proposed changes visible for review instead of buried in messages.

  • Company portal views for current and completed jobs
  • Planned dates, job status and shared job-card links
  • Variation requests with a description and amount for client review
  • Job contacts, purchase-order references and supporting documents

Stop separating the email from the work

Browse messages and company inbox groups, then keep relevant correspondence connected to the job it affects.

  • Mailbox folders, message search and company inbox groups
  • Job-email links with the reason for a suggested match
  • Message actions for composing, replying and forwarding

Email connections and availability need to be confirmed for your setup. Review suggested job matches before relying on them.

Keep team communication in operational context

Keep team discussion, message preparation and daily-work briefings close to the jobs they support so the next action is easier to understand.

  • Shared team and job conversations with message history and reactions
  • SMS recipient selection and message preparation
  • Daily-work previews with assigned jobs and timesheet links
  • Device notification setup for job and schedule updates

SMS and device notifications need the relevant setup and permissions. A provider accepting an SMS does not confirm delivery.

Stop important follow-ups disappearing in chat

Bring worker questions and operational follow-ups into one review area with links to the underlying job conversation.

  • Needs-attention and all-activity views
  • Job-chat context alongside each follow-up
  • Reply, transfer and completion actions

Find the record without searching five places

Use a central library for uploaded files and retain completed job history so past evidence remains useful.

  • Searchable photos, documents, purchase orders and other uploaded files
  • File-type filters and links to their job context
  • Archived jobs with invoice references
  • Restore controls for removed files and retained worker history

Confirm file visibility, retention and recovery arrangements for your setup.

Stop completed work becoming forgotten revenue

Keep completed jobs visible until the invoice reference is recorded and the job is ready to archive.

  • A queue of completed jobs awaiting invoicing
  • Invoice-number entry alongside the job card
  • Invoice references retained with archived job history

This is invoice tracking. It does not confirm invoice delivery, payment collection or accounting reconciliation.

See whether the recorded job numbers make sense

Review quoted income alongside entered material costs and approved labour costs instead of waiting until close-out to discover a problem.

  • Operational financial summaries and time-period views
  • Job profitability based on the income and cost records entered
  • Links between finance review and jobs awaiting invoicing

Figures depend on complete and accurate records. They are not a guarantee of margin, final accounts or verified accounting integration.

Surface what changed before it is missed

Bring recorded changes and items needing attention into one review view, with optional AI interpretation and a path back to the source records.

  • A selected-period view of changes, review items and planned work
  • Links back to the records behind attention items
  • Optional priority summaries, morning summaries and questions
  • Personal review marks that are separate from job completion

Pulse can be incomplete. Review the source records before acting on an AI interpretation or flagged conflict.

Plan around location and weather with fewer surprises

Use planned job locations and a seven-day weather outlook to support site-work planning before crews and equipment are committed.

  • Job-location pins grouped by planned schedule status
  • Map links back to job information
  • Current-conditions and seven-day forecast views with location controls
  • Site-plan tools for PDF or image overlays, subject to imagery setup
  • Overlay controls for scale, rotation, opacity, drawing and saving to a job

Map locations are approximate address matches, not live GPS tracking. Confirm overlay availability with working imagery or an uploaded aerial image; Nearmap coverage and access are required. Radar availability also depends on its connection.

REMOVE THE GAPS BETWEEN STEPS

Follow the job
before the next step
gets missed.

Stop work disappearing between quote and booking

Review the active-job register and identify work still waiting for dates or action.

Catch planning conflicts earlier

Review bookings, crew assignments and work stages before the clash reaches the field.

Make the site ready before the crew is waiting

Confirm material requirements, prepare yard work and review safety drafts before mobilisation.

Keep evidence with the work

Keep photos, conversations, time entries, variations and follow-ups attached to their job context.

Close the gap between completion and cash flow

Review recorded costs, track invoice references and retain the job history for future decisions.

WHAT IS COMING NEXT

More AI aimed at the admin that slows trade businesses down.

Roadmap concepts only. These features are not currently available, and names, scope, timing and delivery may change.

AI Bookkeeper — reduce the gap between operational records and the books

Planned direction: assist with keeping financial records current and surfacing items that need review. This is not currently available and would not replace an authorised bookkeeper, accountant or approval process.

AI Construction Memory — make past job knowledge easier to recover

Planned direction: help teams retrieve job details, decisions and lessons from permitted business records instead of relying on one person's memory. Availability, data access and retention controls are still to be defined.

AI Estimator — support faster, evidence-led pricing

Planned direction: help prepare estimates using confirmed scope, saved prices and reviewed historical evidence. It is not currently available, and dimensions, assumptions, exclusions and final pricing would still require authorised human review.

AI GPS — improve visibility of crews and job locations

Planned direction: support location-aware operational planning. The current job map is based on approximate site addresses and planned dates; it is not live worker GPS. Any future location feature would require clear permissions and privacy controls.

AI Procurement — reduce manual material-order preparation

Planned direction: help prepare material purchasing from confirmed requirements, supplier information and approval rules. It is not currently available and would not place orders or commit spending without the required authority.

PAIN POINTS IN TRADE BUSINESSES

Where the day leaks time, money and control.

Are job details scattered across texts, calls, inboxes and somebody's memory?

That fragmentation makes every handover slower and increases the chance that scope, photos, decisions or contact details are missed. crestOS keeps the job card, files, conversations and operational records together so the team can find the current context without reconstructing it.

Does the owner or office have to chase the field for every update?

When progress depends on repeated phone calls, the owner becomes the system and growth creates more interruption. Role-focused views, job conversations, photos and status records give the office and field a shared place to update and review the work.

Do scheduling conflicts appear when the crew is already on the way?

Late conflict discovery leads to reshuffling, downtime and awkward customer calls. crestOS brings the booking queue, calendars, crew assignments and work stages into view so planners can identify gaps earlier. Programme dates and confirmed bookings remain separate and must be managed deliberately.

Are completed jobs waiting too long to be invoiced?

Work that is finished but invisible in close-out delays billing and weakens cash-flow visibility. crestOS keeps completed jobs in an invoicing queue until an invoice reference is recorded and the job can be archived. It tracks the handoff; payment collection and accounting reconciliation remain separate.

Do material shortages or unclear specifications derail the day?

A crew cannot install what was not confirmed, ordered or prepared. crestOS keeps material lists, yard preparation and saved price records close to the job, with readiness prompts for dimensions, fittings, wastage and delivery timing. Quantities still depend on a confirmed scope and purchasing requires the relevant setup.

Are variations discussed but not clearly recorded and reviewed?

Unclear changes create margin risk, disputes and rework. crestOS keeps proposed variation details and supporting job records together and provides a focused client review path. A proposed or priced variation is not approved until the authorised people confirm it.

Can you explain job profitability without rebuilding the numbers?

If income, material costs and approved labour records are incomplete, the margin view is unreliable. crestOS brings the recorded inputs together for operational review and links the result back to the job. The quality of the answer still depends on complete, accurate records and proper accounting review.

Are safety documents prepared separately from the job they belong to?

Disconnected safety paperwork is harder to review, share and retrieve. crestOS keeps job-linked SWMS drafts, safety files and worker acknowledgements with the work. Competent people must still review the actual site, controls and compliance requirements.

Do clients call because they cannot see what is happening?

Every avoidable status call consumes office time and can weaken confidence. Focused client views can make selected job information, planned dates, status and variation requests easier to find while the business controls what is shared.

Does important follow-up disappear inside busy conversations?

Questions and commitments become risk when nobody owns the next action. crestOS brings needs-attention items and operational follow-ups into a review queue with links to the job conversation so the team can see the context before responding.

Are you using AI without a reliable path back to the facts?

An AI summary is only useful when people can review the records behind it. Check Pulse can surface recorded changes, planned work and possible priorities, while keeping human review in control and showing when coverage may be incomplete.

How do you know whether crestOS fits your operation?

Start with the bottleneck that costs the most time, margin or customer confidence. In a demonstration, Newcrest Labs can map that pain to the current workflow, confirm the required setup and identify any capability gap before you commit.
